7152 Autavia 11063 c. 1980 The Heuer Autavia is one of the brand's most recognisable models. The name originated from a series of dash stopwatches and timers, and was a combination of the words 'Automobile' and 'Aviation'. The first wristwatch to bear the name was released in 1961, and featured a rotating bezel and classic chronograph layout. These watches were used by racing car drivers, which popularised them as sporty watches. Compared to the Carrera, they were generally larger and thicker watches with more of a wrist presence.
